Friends of The Manual of Ideas join John and Oliver Mihaljevic
to unwind, strategize, and create thought-leading content
Our friend Ciccio Azzollini hosts the wonderful Value Investing Seminar from July 17-18, 2014 in Trani, Italy. In the run-up to V.I.S., from July 8-16, 2014, The Manual of Ideas is renting a villa near Naples, Italy — to recharge and team up with thought-leading investors to generate insights for our global community.
Join us (by invitation only) and come prepared to relax, learn, and share. Bring your family or arrive solo. Stay for the entire period from July 8-16 or visit with us for a day or two. At the conclusion of Value Unplugged, we will organize round-trip transportation to Ciccio’s conference in Trani (only a two-hour drive away).
Investors we admire
The following investors (among others) have earned our admiration, not only due to their success but, more importantly, their willingness to contribute generously to the advancement of value investing globally.
The villa is ideally situated, only 30 minutes from Naples International Airport and two hours from Trani, the site of Value Investing Seminar 2014. We will have cars available for trips to Naples or the coast as well as for our planned trip to Trani on July 17-18 (and back).
Built in the 1900s by Federico Perlingieri, agronomist and banker, in 1950 the villa estate became one of the first vineyards in Campania to produce and export its own bottled wines. Tenuta Torre Gaia is now one of the best and most representative producers of the finest food and beverages in the Campania Region.
Just a few steps from the Donna Giulia Restaurant is our famous Wine Cellar, the ‘Bottaia’, filled with giant casks of Slovenian oak, containing our wines. You can organize a tour of the vineyards and the Bottaia and enjoy wine tasting on site as well as samples of our delicious local food.
The villa has an outdoor swimming pool, outdoor gym available during the summer, a reading room, bike rental options, tours to vineyards and Bottaia, a nearby trekking route, a children’s play area, and free wifi. Note, however, that wifi reception may be limited in the rooms themselves, so don’t expect to be online at all times.
Summer is a wonderful time to be in the Naples area — sunny skies, warm temperatures, plenty of activities in and out of the water. Combining Value Unplugged and Value Investing Seminar 2014 with your summer vacation may be an ideal option to unwind while gaining new insights and meeting fellow value investors.
